What precautions should be taken when using waterproof sealing tape?
Date:2024/01/02 Read:837 Release:SURFTECH
Many users are not particularly familiar with it, so today the SRUFTECH editor takes this opportunity to introduce it to everyone. The precautions for using sealed waterproof tape are as follows:
(1) Before construction, carefully read the performance indicators of the tape to make it suitable for the ambient temperature and humidity during construction.
(2) According to different waterproof membranes, different construction methods, different types and sizes of tape are selected.
(3) Before construction, the quality inspection of the previous project should be carried out, and the waterproof layer construction should be carried out after passing the inspection.
(4) According to the engineering design requirements, construct waterproof membranes. The waterproof membranes are firmly bonded to the leveling layer, and no hollowing is allowed. The waterproof layer after construction should be protected.
(5) When using adhesive tape on walls, attention should be paid to the firmness and flatness of the bonding parts on the surface of brick walls or concrete. If the surface is poor, cement slurry should be used for repair treatment to ensure that the surface is flat, firm, and free of floating sand.
(6) Lay and position the roll material, leave a width for the overlap of the roll material joints, and stick it. Waterproof membrane fully laid; When adhesive and tape are used together at the overlapping part of the coil, the overlapping width of the coil is 80MM-100MM, and the tape width is 15MM-25MM.
(7) When only adhesive tape is used to bond the overlapping parts of the coil, the overlapping width of the coil is 50MM.
(8) Waterproof membrane laid empty; The overlapping part of the coil is bonded with adhesive tape, and the overlapping width of the coil is 60mm.
(9) For projects with higher waterproof levels, 25MM single-sided non-woven tape can be used for edge sealing at the interface.
(10) Double sided tape is used for bonding between rolls and between rolls and the base surface; Single sided tape is used for sealing and bonding of reverse lap interfaces and port areas.
